Friend, so many of you have helped MAINE Knits! We're almost there...
One last push will get us to our goal, making it possible to publish this book of knitting designs by Carrie Bostick Hoge, Alicia Plummer, Bristol Ivy, Cecily Glowik Mcdonald, Mary Jane Mucklestone, Elizabeth Smith, Leah B. Thibault, Kristen TenDyke, Leila Raabe and myself. With a foreword written by Pam Allen of Quince & Co.
If you feel like you can help spread the word, that would be great!
Have a great weekend,
You might recognize this lovely face as she has modeled many, many Madder designs! Her name is Chloe and I wanted to take a quick moment to share a little Q & A with her.

Have you heard about Beatrice Perron Dahlen's kickstarter campaign? She's is asking for support for her book project, Maine Knits.
When I moved to Maine I found my home in more ways than one. A Navy brat through and through, I bought a house and put down roots. And discovered the inspiring and thriving fiber community of Maine. I've often thought about how wonderful it would be to see a collaboration between all the hand knitwear designers, yarn makers, dyers and wool-loving folk of Maine. A chance to honor the creative work each is doing, joining talents to make something extraordinary to offer up to the rest of the hand knitting community. A book that comes straight from the bottom of my heart.

The snow has melted! Is it wrong, but I actually miss it? Don't get me wrong, I love spring, LOVE spring. But, it's just so early, I'm suspicious that we'll get slammed with snow in April. We'll see...
Regardless of the lack of snow, a pile of worn knits has piled up, in need of a good cleaning. Lately, I haven been giving our winter woolies a wash using my Twig & Horn Wool Soap and have to say, I love it. The clean softness and the aroma (my scent is Lemongrass) is creating more comfy, cozy knits.
