Thank you to everyone who supported Anthology 1! I'm so very grateful for all the positivity that has surrounded this project.
I wanted to write a quick post about how this book came about. For a few years now, I have wanted to make mini booklets, starting with Camilla, Imogen, and Sibella, that would be available in yarn shops. At the beginning of this year, I thought I might finally have the time(!) to make this a reality, so I started working on it sometime in February. Originally, the booklets were going to have primarily old photographs, that way I would not have to re-photograph (and in many cases, re-knit) the sample.
I began piling up all the new and old projects on a shelf next to my bed, including the Beatrice & Bea pieces. I would wake up and look at it every morning and be so thrilled to see the progress. I also noticed that the color palette of each story actually worked together. And so, I started thinking big...and started seeing the beautiful potential of having all these projects inside one book. Once I got that idea in my head, I couldn't let go of it...and I quickly realized that incorporating old photographs just would not do. It needed to be fresh and new to be cohesive as a collection. So, I hired a crew of knitters to re-knit some pieces and somehow it all came together!
